In recent years, the number of flight movements has grown steadily and Midden Zeeland Airport has opportunities to further develop both (small) business and recreational aviation.
In addition, aircraft and helicopters increasingly use the airport's facilities for government tasks. Like the police, our king, the trauma helicopter, customs and environmental controls.
The policy for 2007 is mainly aimed at finding a good balance between economic and environmental interests.
The aerodrome covers an area of 23 hectares and is located within the municipal boundaries of Middelburg.
The airport grounds are owned by various aviation-related companies, foundations and clubs. The operation rests with Zeeland Airport B.V.
The airport has its own airport building, from where radio contact with the aircraft is maintained. It also houses the management and administration.
The runway of Airport Midden Zeeland has a length of almost 1000 meters. Partly to keep noise pollution to a minimum, the threshold of runway number 09 was shifted about 200 metres to the east at the end of the last century.
The Offshore has found our airport since March 2018. From that moment on there are about 4 flights a week.
